The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area daily. The service stage designed for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the more info servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
